How to Make Puffy & soft rotis ?

Serves: For 6 Roti

Ingredients:

  • Devsat Wheat Flour – 150 gm
  • Water – Lukewarm as required
  • Oil – Approx 9 to 10 ml
  • Salt – as per Taste

Method:

  • Mix Devsat Chakki Fresh Atta, Salt and Water in a bowl.
  • By adding warm water gradually, knead the mixture into dough.
  • Add few drops of oil/butter and knead well again to get smoother and softer dough.
  • Warp the dough with a moist kitchen towel and keep it aside for 15 minutes.
  • Make 10-12 equal sized balls from the dough.
  • Immerse each ball into dry flour and then flatten the balls into rolls with a rolling pin, one by one.
  • You can also sprinkle little dry flour while flattening.
  • Place the rotis on a hot griddle pan.
  • As light spots appear, flip the roti and apply little oil/butter.
  • Flip the roti once again and apply oil/butter.
  • To puff up your roti, gently press the roti with a cloth or spatula.
  • When both sides are golden brown, remove your refl.
  • Store hot roti in an airtight casserole and serve by applying oil/butter on one side.
  • Enjoy your puffy Devsat Chakki Fresh roti with curry/subzi.
